Finished Car Packing Slip From a 29-50 - Left Half

  • ID Plate location - above oil can (master) and beside oil filter
  • Serial / Chassis Number - located on outside of frame behind right front wheel
  • USA ID Firewall Plate (only model number punched). Early plate - the late plate had "Infate front tires on all models to 40 pounds air pressure"
  • USA ID Firewall Plate (only model number punched). Late plate. (Plate off Finnish car)
  • USA - Early engine number tag (riveted to block. Late had numbers punched into block)
  • Riveted Engine Number Tag (from Bob Lindsten's 29-57)
  • Engine Number Tag - Riveted - early models (vs. punched in - later models)
  • Engine Number - late car (stamped onto block. Early engines had tag riveted to block). This is on a 29-44 McLaughlin Buick.

  • Finished Car Packing Slip from a 29-50 - Right Half (Water damage erased the original Loading Insp's signature).
  • 29-50 During Restoration: Original Production Line Job tags. Job Number matches the Data Plate on Firewall. I found the Job Tags in the rear door of the car.
  • Fisher Body Tag - on Firewall, from Job. No. 8450 for model 29-50 with consecutive body number 4697 (out of 8377 model 50 and 50X's produced).
  • Canadian ID plates (with model, serial and engine number)
  • 29-54CC McLaughlin Buick ID Plate. Note: Early production stamped this plate C vs. CC.
